In SEO Optimization Structuring The Anchor Text Right Is a Must

SEO Optimization and Anchor’s Away!
Anchor text, not to be confused with anchor links is vital in SEO Optimization. What exactly is anchor text? Anchor text is the hyper linked words that you click on to take you to another page. Here’s an example, go ahead and click on the anchor text link website designer. As you see, it’s just a sample page I designed to help you understand the importance of these links.

Why is Anchor Text So Important?
If done right, [1]. Anchor text tells search engines what your site is about. [2]. It tells search engines what the page you are linking to is all about. [3]. It provides your visitors with useful information about the content of the page you're linking to. I’ll clarify those three points by sharing with you the wrong way to structure your anchor text, which happens to be the most common way people do it. Here’s the wrong way… bombs away!

Those are the WRONG ways to use anchor text and here’s why. First and foremost, one of the parameters many search engines use, (especially Google) to grade and rank a website is the anchor text. If all or most of the anchor text in the links on your website look like this: Click here, Read more, Part 1, Part 2, Learn more, For more info, etc., you are confusing the search engines as to what your website is about. If other areas in your SEO Optimization strategy are out of whack, you can began to see why you won’t be getting much traffic and why your site won’t rank ANYWHERE except maybe on the Baruntse!

Let me guess, you don’t know where the Baruntse is?

It’s an uninhabitable mountain in the Himalayas and if your website is ranking there, you need to make a mad dash into the mountain climbing business! ROFL!

As the search engines crawl your website and find the many anchor text hyper links that say, “Read more” they are thinking, “This website is probably about the scholastic program to help kids READ MORE!” So instead of your web pages getting ranked with the widget pages, they are corralled with the other four hundred and nineteen million web pages that use “Read more” as their anchor text.

If you are improperly structuring your anchor text, please, listen ypo your website. Shhh! Can you hear it? It's begging you and pleading with you to change your ways! Its tired of sitting up doing nothing while all of the other sites are getting the traffic!

SEO Optimization won’t work if the integral part of properly structured anchor text is left out of the equation! Once you get this part right, the search engines are going to show you some mad LOVE and visitors to your website are going to applaud you!
