In SEO Optimization Content is The King’s
Ransom! Ever heard the statement, “Content
is king?” When it comes to SEO Optimization, content is not
just KING; content is the king’s ransom!
When most people, (including
me) refer to content, we are speaking about articles, reviews,
blogs and opinions written about various subjects, niches and
products. If you cultivate the right content you will end up
with a highly valuable traffic getting.
I hear your mind going into overdrive asking, “What’s the right
content?” The answer is: content that is unique and that
provides educational, inspirational, engaging, informative,
humorous and insightful gems.
Ok, take a deep breath and exhale!
Each article DOES NOT have to contain all of those
qualities, but at least ONE, preferably two!
That’s the first thing; the second thing the right content
contains is the right keywords with the right keyword density.
For example, if this article were about “Water proof magnetic
widgets” I would have that phrase naturally sprinkled
throughout the article in such a way that you would and you
wouldn’t notice it.
It used to be when it came to SEO Optimization and keyword
density, that people just stacked articles with certain
keywords so much so that the article wasn’t readable. They
would take a 350 word article and put the keyword phrase,
“Water proof magnetic widgets” in the article SEVENTY times!
That’s a keyword density of 20%! Can we shout, keyword
spamming? That is a lame attempt to manipulate search engines
that may get you de-indexed these days.
What you want to do is create unique content founded upon
the right keywords and keyword phrases with the appropriate
keyword density, which is a range between 1.5% and 4.4%. When
your content looks like that, your starting to master SEO
optimization and the search engines and people who surf the Net
will love you.
I’ve got to give you this word of caution before going any
further. In Internet Marketing, someone is always reinventing
powerless get rich quick schemes. They go so far as to pay
heavy hitter copywriters the BIG BUCKS to make you think what
they are selling is the real deal instead of rehashed hype. One
of the areas you need to be on the lookout for is the people
selling PLR content.
The idea is that you’re going to buy a package of 300 unique
PLR articles and post them to your website and various article
directories.
So far so good! BUT, and you knew this was coming, so hang
on for dear life!
The company that sold you the unique PLR articles ALSO sold
the exact SAME package to two thousand and five-hundred other
people who immediately posted the articles to their websites
and to article directories.
Somehow, way or another, everyone who buys those PLR
packages is convinced they are going to hit the website traffic
mother load.
Boy, are they ever wrong…
Anyone who has bought that type of content finds out rather
quickly that their highly touted content IS NOT unique in any
shape, form or fashion. REMEMBER: People and search engines are
looking for unique content! Don't become one of the tens of
thousands of LAZY people polluting the Internet with duplicate
content secretly written by high school seniors trying to raise
money to buy teenage gadgets.
All those PLR articles are going to do is get you slapped by
the search engines.
Here’s a test to prove my point. Perform a search on this
phrase, “Why Hire A Designer?” This is the title of an
extremely popular PLR article that is probably posted to at
least 3500 web pages and all most all of the article
directories. What’s really humorous is if you searched, you’d
find no less than one hundred and fifty people, all who claim
to be the author!
ROTL! (Rolling on the floor laughing)
BWL (Bursting with laughter)
CST! (Can't stop laughing)
ANWWI (Alright Now Where Was I?)
The one place you WILL NOT find this article no matter how
much you search is on the first page of any SERP where the
keywords count. Why not? Because it has been dinged, red
flagged, highlighted and alerted against more times than I care
to count, I do have a life and wife, you know!
As time has progressed, many article directories
(thankfully) have gotten smart and now advise authors
up front as part of their posting polices, DON'T EVEN THINK
ABOUT posting PLR articles! So in essence, the people who buy
these PLR content packages are buying a bag of hyped up hot air
that will cool down real fast! There is an update to the
colloquial phrase, "Content is king!" It has been changed to,
"Unique content is king!"
