Get Great Photo Images
and Art Images Really
Cheap
If you design and or build websites, eventually you are
going to find yourself need various types of images:
- Photo Images
- Art Images
- People images
- Stock images
- Web images
- Clip art images
- Digital images
…and the list goes on and expands depending on your
needs.
A quick image search can prove to be time consuming and
exhaustive. On one occasion, a newbie fellow web designer
called me after it took him three hours of searching through
numerous image galleries to find the perfect fit for the
website he was designing. When he finally found the right
image, the price they were asking for “web usage” only was
totally out of whack at an earth shattering $249.00! He knew
his client wasn’t going to pay the additional $249.00, but on
the other hand, that image was just right for the website. When
I shared with him my three sources, he found the image he was
looking for in ten minutes. Here are my current image
sources…
IStockPhoto.com
This is one of the best resources for finding: people images,
art images, People images, clip art images and more. They have
an extensive image library and the rigid standards they employ
for artists means that you won’t waste your time shuffling
through endless pages of bad images. They accept PayPal and web
images boil down to $1.00 a piece. It’s a no brainer if you
want appealing pics at a reasonable price.

Fotolia.com
Fotolia is an up and comer with humongous potential. Their
price is right; they are about the same as IStockPhoto and
surfing through their image library is a breeze. Between
IStockPhoto, Fotolia and the next image provider that I’m going
to mention, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.
Dreamstime.com
The image library at Dreamtime is somewhat limited and some of
the images were taken by up and coming amateurs, but their
library is worth looking through for two reasons; they are in
expensive! On average you won’t pay more than $1.00 per image
and you can pay with PayPal.
Gettyimages.com
Don’t even waste your time perusing the image library at Getty
unless you are prepared to pay the big bucks… and I mean the
BIG BUCKS! Yes their images are astonishing, breathtaking and
incredibly swank. But they are expensive as all get out! If you
are a do it yourself website builder or a webmaster who builds
affordable websites, Getty is simply not an option.
There are numerous other places to get web images, but not
too many of them will beat the quality and price of the top
three that I mentioned. Hope that helps! If you have any
questions, feel free to ask.
